Spring flowers

Tiny little squill picked from my garden ... I love how they spread and come up in unexpected places every spring.  They're such a pretty shade of cornflower blue and they look like tiny blue stars scattered throughout the garden.

Golden daffodils

I couldn't resist this bunch of yellow daffodils.  Not only did they brighten my week, but they were being sold by the Canadian Cancer Society so they're for a good cause as well.  I have a few more daffodil photos that I'll share with you next week.

Coming Home

Walk up the painted wooden steps and across the porch.  Scrape the mud off your shoes before going inside.  Open the screen door and hang your coat on the hooks.  You've come home.

Signs of Spring

I think maybe Spring might finally have arrived.  Last week's snowfall is melting, yesterday I saw a robin and I have flowers blooming in my garden.  Welcome signs that Winter is leaving.

Chewed leaves on the iris are courtesy of the rabbits who seem to think my garden is their private dining room.  At least they left the flowers ... for now.
