A day at the lake

We recently spent an afternoon cooling off by the shore of Lake Ontario, watching the sailboats and seagulls.


The seagulls flew close overhead, completely oblivious to me as I snapped away. 

The distant Toronto skyline is barely visible through the haze and humidity.


I think a private beach would be wonderful! Imagine being able to step down to the shore whenever you want.

The water sparkled and shimmered in the bright afternoon sunlight. 

I'll be adding these to my Etsy shop over the next few days.

    Oh the colors even shimmer. Wouldn't a bedroom be wonderful created around these subtle and marvelous blues?

    These are beautiful shots Lynda! The lake looks cool and refreshing and you made those gulls look good!! Normally they're just dirty and poopy -- you gave them a delightful face lift!! :)
