Thoughts of Spring

I'm turning my thoughts to Spring this week.  I don't care that it snowed again this morning, or that another snow storm is expected overnight and into tomorrow ... I'm so ready for Spring!  I bought these pretty pink tulips at the grocery store on the weekend.  I've missed photographing flowers and am happy to finally have some to photograph.  I have a lot more photos to share with you next week.  You might even get tired of seeing pink tulips on my blog.  But it's better than snow, right?

Are there signs of spring where you live?  Please share what's blooming or turning green or even what flowers are now in your grocery store.  Maybe if we all ignore Winter, he'll get the hint and move on.  It's worth a try!

  1. Snow, Snow, Snow...we are still buried under it! I don't think I can take any more! My gardens are going to be in horrible conditon with snow mold. And now we heard our town is going in to a 5 yr. water ban. And a price hike beyond real! I need a vacation badly!..but your photo's will help a lot..Keep posting your tulips...

Such a beautiful photo. I've been photographing some flowers too but haven't posted anything.

Hang in there Lynda, another couple weeks will make a big difference. And btw I'll NEVER tire of pink!

  5. Oh, this lovely pink & floral post was just what I needed, Lynda! I had to throw out the pink roses from last weekend, and am missing flowers already! No, no signs of spring here either. Just snow... Snow as far as the eye can see...*eye*... But thinking spring! ;O) Happy Weekend ((HUGS))

  7. We've had a lovely couple of spring days. I've even been out without a coat - shock horror. And like you I love photographing flowers.

  8. Oh, Lynda, this is gorgeous!! Tulips are such a good idea. We had snow this week, too. It's almost gone now, well, it's gone for everyone else but we live on a shady hill so still have plenty. Not much on offer at the stores or at Pike Place Market – even Trader Joe's didn't have any decent flowers. I resorted to the high end nurseries and got pansies and violas and various narcissus and tulips to do some shooting with. Sigh. Just a few more days, I think. xo – g

  14. You are getting tired of the snow... and I am getting tired of the rain! And I usually LOVE rain, but this is getting ridiculous. The sun must be on her way...she must!
