I've always been fascinated by doors. This one was tucked away in a corner of an old municipal building, probably rarely used and maybe even locked. But I liked how the fanlight reflected the trees and the decorative arch over the doorway. Doors are kind of mysterious ... you don't know what's behind them or where they may take you.
Did you try the door? I think I would've had to turn the handle just to see. It is rather mysterious that's for sure.
ReplyDeletelove it! I wish I had a door like this! I live in a condo, so it's standard boring doors all the way down. Someday, my house door will be very regal!
ReplyDeleteI love the wall too. It looks kinda lonely!
ReplyDeleteVee, I never even thought about trying the door! lol!
ReplyDeleteMary, I love the fanlight ... if I could change my door, it would definitely have a fanlight.
Shirley, I love the wall too! The stone is beautiful and you can see traces of the ivy if you look really close.
Very beautiful and mysterious and perfectly captured, Lynda. I've always had a thing for doors and windows, too. Well spotted – such a terrific image! xo – g
ReplyDeleteBeautiful door! It does make you wonder just what is beyond it, and it certainly is lovely. Hope you are enjoying a lovely week dear Lynda.

This is such a lovely image, Lynda... I love all the white-washed calm.... Like you, I'm fascinated by windows and door--always wondering what's on the inside. ;o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you on this, Lynda. My little eye spies beautiful doors everywhere!
ReplyDeleteHave a loveliest of weekends. xxxx
Very lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteI adore your beautiful photos! (: Keep up the good work and am looking forward to see more of your work.

Oh it does make you want to open it and see what's inside...but maybe our imaginations are better than the reality in this case....I think I will dream up my own version of what is behind that lovely door. ;)
