Overcoming

Daydreaming of my roses!

Hello dear friends! Remember me?  Yes, it has been awhile!

Those health problems I was experiencing back in the Fall turned out to be the cancer rearing its ugly head again.  I've been on chemo since mid-December and I figured I'd be up and around in no time.  No such luck.  This chemo packs a punch and leaves me feeling very tired.  It also works slowly but after three months, my blood work last week showed that it's finally working!

I never wanted this blog to turn into a cancer journal.  I'd much rather share what's going on around my home and garden!  So I kept waiting until I felt better to post.  Unfortunately, the longer I stayed away, the harder it was to get back to blogging!  Now that Spring is here and I'm able to get up and around a little more, I'm going to slowly ease my way back to posting again.

I've truly missed you all!   I'm dreaming of my garden and what I'd like to do this year ... but I'll save that for another post.

Happy Spring!

  3. Hello, my friend. Seems as if we pass in the halls at Pinterest these days and even though it's not much, it makes me smile. So glad that you are feeling stronger and that this rigorous treatment has done its work. Keep dreaming of the garden...it won't be long now! (We are still buried in snow and the temps are often below freezing. Still, I live in hope! )

    1. Pinterest is just too easy! Lol! Our snow is slowly melting (we didn't get as much as you) but it's still cold! I'm just looking forward to being able to get outside again. Hope is always good!

  6. Hi Lynda, so happy to see a post from you! Glad to see Spring (and treatment) is helping you feel more like yourself! We don't mind if you share your cancer here with us! That darn cancer is with so many of us! We need to be here for one another. Seeing life through the camera is such a joy that even cancer can't destroy. The Rose brings a smile to my day! Prayers for you always!

  7. Wouldn't it be lovely if we could post about what is going on in the garden instead of reality? But the reality is .. NOTHING is going on in the garden and you have not been feeling well! Spring is coming Lynda and just like the flowers you will rise up and show us pretty things.
Glad you are feeling better : )
    xoxo

  10. Oh I was so excited to see you post again. I have been rather sketchy lately in my blogging. So happy to hear that progress is being made and you are back to feeling better. That cancer is a nasty, evil thing. I continually checked from time to time to see if you had posted, and thrilled when you did. Prayers for continued good health and blessings on this journey.
