On Labour Day weekend, I decided that I absolutely had to go to the
CNE (Canadian National Exhibition). It's been exactly seven years since I'd last attended ... and, yes, I was counting! We picked the coldest, windiest day that weekend to go but we still had a great time. I love walking through the midway but I'm absolutely terrified of the rides. I don't like heights at all! Some of the rides were cancelled that day due to the high winds but I managed to get a few midway shots.
What's your favourite thing about going to a carnival?
Lovely shots from such a not so lovely day! I love the colors, the sights and scents...weird foods, the carnival workers...and rides as long as they aren't upside down!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful images Lynda! I love going to the fair/carnival and my favorite part is watching my children enjoy themselves. ♥
ReplyDeleteYour photos make it look as if you went 100 years ago...so lovely and vintage looking! I am looking forward to the fair, too, but I must wait for several more weeks. Did you eat anything?
ReplyDeleteLovely images. I love all the photography opportunities at a fair.
ReplyDeleteas i was reading your post, i was also listening to il divo album... somehow the song and pics matches. kinda nice feeling now.... i love carousal
ReplyDeleteI use to love the rides..but then I grew up and not so much anymore. Which is sad as I watch the younger one's today and they are having a blast.
ReplyDeleteI can be happy just looking at your pictures.
Wonderful, nostalgic images, Lynda. I love the carousel top best. Well, I adore the rides. I haven't done them for awhile but I used to be quite fearless. I always took the front seat on the roller coaster and loved anything in which I was upside down most of the time. Fabulous! I wonder if I dare do it now? Our fair is on for another week – maybe I'll try. Anyway, love your images and glad you had a great day. xo – g
ReplyDeleteVery fun & ambient photos, Lynda! It reminds me I've not been to a fair or carnival in years! I'm not much for fast rides & such, but I'll take the carousel and food--things I'd never eat otherwise... LOL! Thanks for taking us there! :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteMy favorite things about the carnival are food, the colors, the noise, and the over all feeling of happiness. Wonderful shots by the way.
ReplyDeleteWonderful collection of photos from the CNE. Like you, I don't like rides, but love watching the merry-go-round and eating cotton candy :-)
