faking it

About this time, I really start missing my garden. I was able to pick roses right up until December and with all the Christmas decorations that were scattered around, along with a poinsettia or two, I never gave my garden much thought. Until now. I miss running outside to pick whatever's in bloom. So until spring rolls around (or until my local superstore runs a special on flowers) I'm faking it and using silk flowers to fill my vases.

I'd like to send a huge thank you to my dear friend Sherry (Everyday Possibilities) for the wonderful interview she posted today featuring my photography!  Sherry has an amazing blog that should definitely be on your "must read" list.

  1. I think "faking it" through the winter is an excellent idea...I miss my blooms too!!!

And you know it was my pleasure to interview and feature you -- the response has been as I expected it would be!! ♥

  2. Heading right over there to read it... Good idea to get a little green in the house as well as a few fresh flowers. Still, I'm hoping to finally truly embrace winter.

  3. Oh that was a lovely interview. I enjoyed it very much and learned a wee bit more about you.

  4. Dear Lynda,
I am so very happy to have found you through Sherry's blog! She is such a nice lady!

Your photography is just gorgeous! I cannot wait to explore the rest of your sites and your Etsy site!

    Wishing you a beautiful day!

  5. Hi, Lynda! I love Sherry's blog...just having "discovered" it last last fall--she is a wonder! And just loved the interview and feature she had of you at her place--well done! :o) Like you, I'm dreaming of flowers... Everything is covered in snow here and will be for ages yet. Silks and splurges on real flowers from the florist will have to do for now... *sigh*... Happy Day, my friend :o) ((HUGS))

  6. What a beautiful interview and thank you so very much for introducing Sherry to us!:o)

Silk flowers are wonderful while we patiently wait for spring to arrive.:o) Take care my friend and enjoy a lovely coming weekend.

  7. Oh your photograph is so lovely. The softness that you achieve in your work is so breathtaking. I will click on that link and read the interview

  8. I'm right there with you on missing the garden. While I don't actually have a *garden* I miss being able to put my potted pepper out in the sunshine. And I miss hanging out in other people's gardens.

Your photos are making me nostalgic for July.

  9. that's where I just popped over from... and am enjoying your photos from your Etsy site... now to check out the blog...

    hiya from a fellow Canuck...

Thanks for visiting! ♥
