"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."
~ Lucy Maud Montgomery
This past week, the trees have really been putting on their colours. Our ash tree changes to the most beautiful shade of golden yellow and depending on the light, at times it casts its golden glow over everything.
We've been enjoying amazing weather! Warm and sunny, it's been a stunning Fall so far. The colours are expected to be magnificent this year. I have to say that so far, I agree.
I'm glad I photographed the fallen leaves along the curb. The next day they were gone, a combination of a light breeze and neighbours raking their leaves. This scene just caught my eye and I knew I had to capture it.

I had my CT scan on Tuesday and saw my oncologist yesterday for the results. All your prayers and positive thoughts worked! My CA125 dropped from 4918 in August to 888 in September! My lowest number yet. I realize that I'm still a long way from being in the normal range but seeing it drop so much in just a month had me doing my happy dance! Dr. H. asked me what I've been doing so I told him about drinking ginger tea & green tea daily and how I've recently added turmeric to my diet (I'll explain more about this in a later post). I also practice meditative prayer and visualization daily. He said to keep it up because it's working!! My CT scan showed the tumour on my aortic artery is slightly larger, I have a new tumour between my stomach and spleen that's about the size of a blueberry BUT the tumours that were in my pelvis are gone! I don't need any treatment yet and don't have to go back for another scan until December! This is the longest I've been able to go between check-ups. So yes, I am ecstatic! (Hence the number of exclamation points!!) A huge thank you for your prayers and positive thoughts. I know you've played a role in helping me get here. I'm now praying for all the tumours to go and that my next scan reveals no evidence of disease! I'm shooting for the stars! Why not?? :)
xoxo,
Lynda
{p.s. - I'll be sharing my home project "to do" list in my next post!}
John says 888 is a very good number because 8 represents new beginnings in scriptural numerology. I like it! So we are both thanking God for your good news! Funny thing, Lynda, I feel like using exclamation points, too!!! (Oh I started taking turmeric a month ago...took the last pill in the bottle last night. I'm taking mine to help with arthritis. I'll be interested in its other health benefits.)
